Thanks to everyone for your support of Michael Steele's bid to become the next chairman of the RNC. Today, after six rounds of voting, Michael Steele was elected as our party's next Chairman! We always believed that Michael could win, and appreciate you taking a stand and joining his team.
Now that Michael has won, be sure to stay involved by joining our march to rebuild the Republican party from the grassroots up. If you are not already, be sure to get involved with your local party and the RNC. With your help, we can make a difference in campaigns big and small from the Northeast, through the Midwest and the South and over to the West coast. With Michael's leadership we can all work together to bring our shared conservative principals back to Washington and our state capitals.

Politics of Fear
Congrats on your win!! This household supported you from day one. Now it's time to get the Repubs to grow a pair!! Sorry for my phrasing, but I am furious.
My neighbor's grade school kids went around the neighborhood asking for money so their parents would have enough money so as not to become homeless. My neighbor's bank account is fine!! Her kids got this garbage from their teachers at school. These teachers turned these kids into walking, talking, money making machines for Obama and now they are convincing these kids that we are all going to be homeless and every other bad thing that could happen in the world. Obama has tried to scare us all, and today, he tried to force us all into accepting his plans. GARBAGE!!!
Obama can take his energy plan and stuff it. The Sunrise Power link in San Diego, CA is a prime example of failure and to think that Obama is using such a facility as a blueprint is disgraceful. The only stimulus package that has worked is the lower prices for gas.

Our next republican President, In my mind, will no doubt be one of the best presidents America will ever experience. He or She may very well be a President free of special interest; both foreign and domestic.Our next Republican president will bridge the gaps of american ideals and american policy. I see a momentous time when we truly experience a closing of chapters past. Our great nation is a place in which a diverse citizenry is assembeld, yet is unified by our constitutional rights. A land in whichpolitical minorities are treated as equals to the plurity of unified govenment.

I totally agree w/ you Brother!! I'm a Caucasian American and I am so excited for Mr. Steele!! He is what the RNC is needing to unite and recruit the people who make up this great nation so as to lead them in a direction not many tread in our nations capital today, and that is integrity and honesty and equal rights for all Americans Black, white, Hispanic or whatever!! I see real leadership in Mr. Steele and I am with Him all the way! I thank God for giving us Michael Steele!

I can't begin to tell you how proud and so excited that Michael Steele is the new chairman. I really felt that if he wasn't chosen I would not be a Republican any longer. Now I have hope that he will be able to turn this party around. From what I observed he really cares about party and getting everyone involved no matter the economic status, race or gender. I believe that he can bring diversity to this party which it so desperately needs. I envision a pool of people; black, white, Hispanic, Asian, Filipino, Indian and whoever else in this new Republican party. He is REAL CHANGE. I give my support and prayers to him. Go Michael Steele!

I, too, am very excited about our future as a party with Michael Steele at the helm. I live in MD and watched him very closely while he was my Lt. Governor. I KNEW he would go places; bigger and better places. Congratulations!!!
When Obama was elected, I was very fearful at first. Then, the fire in my soul began to grow. I foolishly thought that my voice began and ended with my vote. I now realize that I've had a voice since the day I could talk. And, it will not be silenced until the day I die. I WILL get involved! We need to get back to the basics: the roots of our conservatism and fight against the nay-sayers. This country was founded on good Christian principles. And, I will NOT see those principles go by the way-side.

I am so very happy that Michael Steele is our new Chairman! I have admired him for a long time and his purposeful, decisive comments are a breath of fresh air. I am sure he will do a fantastic job in reviving the party!!!
More than Race
Sadly, the election of Barack Obama brought this country backwards in terms of political discussion, as his nomination was about little other than his race. I like Steele on radio and TV and he was a hit at the RNC convention. But there really is only one way to get the party back into favor and that is through principles. How will RINOs be held accountable? Why are John McCain and Lindsey Graham still allowed to call themselves Republican when they are political amoebas? There is a lot of work to be done before 2010.
We Won!
With Michael Steele as Chairman, not just Republicans won but every citizen now stands a chance to see this country brought back from the kneeling position. Finally there is someone with a vision of properity that does not depend on taking money from one group of people to give to another group.
Most citizens do not realize that every single Democrat who has been in office for more than one term is now a multi-millionaire. The campaign finance laws should strip all of the excess funds from the winners and return the dollars to a general pot of money. This goes for both parties. That would level the playing field for new canidates to have a chance.
We `are not kingdom and the citizens are not serfs. However, I know from listening to my friends that many people are at the breaking point and if our elected leaders can not or will not make the hard decisions then the control will have to put in better hands. Congratulations on a well deserved win.
Victory
I was very pleased to learn of Mr. Steele's victory. I have been so impressed with his wisdom, humor and vitality. He is just what the Republican Party needs as it attempts to reconnect with so many Americans who can no longer figure out what the Party is willing to stand and fight for. Thanks to all who fought to make THIS possible.

I thoroughly support and congratulate Mr. Steele on winning the chairmanship of the RNC! I hope by remaining true to conservative economic and free market principles that the Republican/Conservative party can control the growth of government and government spending to allow individual Americans to grow and prosper and to keep our country strong and free. We are not part of the European Community nor should we want to be. People pour into this country from every corner of the world as did my grandparents because of liberty and opportunity. We don't need systemic change. It isn't Wall Street greed as much as career politicians. Let's be responsible as a party and help to rid the country of politician's like Dodd, Frank, Wrangle the list goes on and on. Why are conservatives supporting criminals like Geitner? Why are politicians above the law? The task might be daunting but once the American people here the truth, America will get back on track!!! I watched C-SPAN as Steele won and then spoke after. I wrote about it--I was very glad to see him elected. He really worked hard for this--he wanted it. That's a good sign of his commitment. Best wishes to Michael Steele as we all focus forward.
